As a Personal Care Attendant at St. Paul's, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, provide nursing care, pass and manage medications, housekeeping, and other related services as is necessary to meet the personal needs and comfort of the residents. What You Will Do:

Provide compassionate care: Provide for personal hygiene care which may include: complete or partial bath, back care, oral hygiene, combing hair, shaving, toileting, dressing resident, changing bed linen and other general care as is necessary Provide for assistance with medications including glucometer monitoring and sub q injections Take/record vital signs and intake/output. Maintain elimination, restraint and appetite records. Report variation from the normal.

Demonstrates competence in computer programs:

Matrix, Achieve and EMR Promptly answers resident call bells, anticipates resident needs and makes rounds to assigned residents. Serves residents meals waitress style. Assists with cleaning up the dining room after meals and resetting Assist residents with handling and care of personal laundry Responds appropriately to emergency situations i.e.: ambulance response, 911, first aide, CPR Record accurately, clearly and concisely all pertinent information on resident records. Interprets, documents, transcribes onto resident records, the physician's plan of care. Instructs and counsels residents on the same. Review and respond if necessary, to results of resident lab and other diagnostic tests. Responsible for reporting any changes observed in condition or behavior and any unusual incidents. Dynamic Team:

Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment including food/fluid spills, sanitizing equipment, including wheelchairs, etc. Reports to appropriate personnel of equipment that needs service or repair. Responsible for maintaining an adequate level of supplies and ordering Assess and monitor physical, cognitive and social dimensions of the resident. Observes, monitors and reports any adverse symptoms, findings or changes in residents physical or cognitive behaviors to the Heritage LPN or to the resident's physician.
