Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in a residential or community-based setting during nighttime hours. Responsibilities Provide attentive patient observation and monitor residents' health status throughout the night, including vital signs and overall well-being. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and toileting using proper manual handling techniques. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for individual dietary needs, including those with special conditions like dementia or allergies. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, sanitizing common areas, and ensuring resident safety at all times. Document all observations, interventions, medication administration, and incidents clearly in compliance with healthcare standards. Respond swiftly to emergencies by implementing first aid procedures or CPR when necessary; coordinate with emergency services if required. Uphold residents' rights by respecting their dignity, privacy, and preferences at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and patient monitoring techniques. Ability to perform patient personal care assistance including assisting with ADLs and mobility support using proper manual handling methods. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
