Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Older Adult Companion to provide personalized support and companionship to seniors in a home or community setting. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by promoting their independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and proactive, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care that respects each individual's dignity and preferences. As an Older Adult Companion, you will foster a warm, engaging environment that encourages social interaction and supports daily activities. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and IADL Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to prescribed schedules. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, assist with meal consumption if necessary, and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas. Provide companionship through engaging conversations, recreational activities, and social outings to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for residents. Qualifications Prior experience working with elderly people is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior related to dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
