Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs and observing changes in their condition. Administer medication according to care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment. Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for patient mobility assistance. Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with care plans. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certifications are a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable. Strong observational skills for monitoring patients' conditions and reporting changes effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Familiarity with memory care techniques for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are crucial for success in this role.
