Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance with daily activities. This role requires a blend of practical skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health status. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment. Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Skills Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment. Ability to create and follow care plans effectively while adapting to changing client needs.
