Traditional K-12 School-Based Schedule Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one and classroom support to students receiving special education services. The PCA will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to help students achieve their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals in a safe and supportive learning environment. Requirements Associate degree preferred Passing score on a state-recognized paraprofessional assessment Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting Knowledge of special education practices and behavior support strategies Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Comfortable using technology and educational resources to support learning Ability to ride the school bus with the assigned student and provide support during transportation Key Responsibilities Provide direct one-on-one and classroom support to students with special needs Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the school day Monitor, document, and communicate student progress and behavior Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student success Support students during transportation as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Schedule School-year position following a traditional K-12 academic calendar #education
