Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Direct Support Professional to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence and dignity. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to resident rights and a passion for helping others in various care settings, including group homes and community-based environments. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Support residents in developing life skills and achieving personal goals through tailored programs. Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects resident rights and promotes independence. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Document daily activities, progress, and any changes in the individual's condition or behavior. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for each resident. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in patient care and support for individuals with disabilities. Experience Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or working within group homes is preferred. Familiarity with memory care techniques and home community care practices is a plus. A strong understanding of direct support principles and resident rights is essential. Experience in providing patient care for individuals with varying abilities will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are required. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
