Job Description

The Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties is seeking a part-time, 20 hours a week, 4p-8p, M-F, compassionate and dependable MRSS Crisis Support Specialist to join our dedicated Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) team. This is a vital, front-line support role that ensures youth and their families in crisis receive timely, reassuring, and accurate assistance. to make a meaningful impact in our community!
Duties :
Promptly answer incoming calls and provide calm, supportive reassurance. Deliver empathetic phone-based interventions and supportive listening. Coordinate with on-call clinical staff according to established protocols. Make outreach calls as directed by clinicians to provide continued support. Document all interventions clearly and timely. Offer supportive reassurance while collecting relevant information to assess caller's needs, status, and situation. Provide supportive and calming initial intervention while gathering information, including supportive listening and following procedural guidelines for accessing On-Call Crisis Services and MRSS clinical staff.
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain composed and supportive in high-stress situations. Independent decision-making and judgement under pressure. Comfortable working alone for extended periods. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. Ability to handle pressure of competing priorities. A commitment to quality care including timely and accurate documentation. Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive issues A valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, evidence of personal automobile insurance, and of insurability by the organization's automobile liability insurance carrier. Part-Time (20 hours/week)
