Job Description
This position is helping a quadriplegic living in home with everyday ADLs and homecare. This member is their own employer and community horizons assists with hiring caregivers that are a good fit. Due to working from home, the hours will be throughout the day. AM hours to assist with morning cares Lunch and Dinner hours to assist with meal times And bed time hours to assist with bedtime routine Morning Care Assist with getting out of bed using a Hoyer lift Complete personal hygiene and grooming tasks Assist with dressing and preparation for the workday Prepare light breakfast and beverages Assist with catheter-related care as directed Ensure work area is set up and accessible for the day Daily Support Light meal preparation Light housekeeping duties including dishes, laundry, tidying, and general household upkeep Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) Evening Care Meal preparation and cleanup Assistance with personal hygiene and bedtime routine Bed bath and skin care Catheter care as directed Ensure comfort and safety for the night Qualifications Experience as a caregiver, CNA, personal care worker, or similar role preferred but willing to train the right candidate Comfortable performing transfers using a Hoyer lift Ability to provide full assistance with personal care and ADLs Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to maintain professionalism while building a positive working relationship Compassionate, respectful, patient, and trustworthy
