Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with their daily routines and health needs. Prior experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs as needed Support patients with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with care plans and dietary restrictions Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and progress reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility Observe patients for any changes in condition and report concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas to ensure a hygienic environment Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to ensure patient safety at all times Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Skills Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, home & community care, or long-term care environments Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Ability to perform CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining dignity and respect for residents' independence Capable of heavy lifting when necessary for transfers or mobility assistance Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude coupled with patience and understanding in caregiving roles This position is ideal for caring individuals committed to providing high-quality support that enhances the well-being of others. Prior experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or home health services is advantageous.
