Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Child Personal Care Aide to provide companionship and supervision for an 8-year-old female in her home. Her family will be present in home at all times so minimal duties are required. Child is very active and has a speech disorder so high energy, the love to play, and patience is necessary for this position. -Two dogs are present in home but can be put up if needed while aide is present -Flexible hours: can work morning, afternoon, or evening; full 26 hours do not need to be worked weekly; family is flexible In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes well-being and development. Your dedication will help this family feel confident knowing their child is in capable hands while fostering positive experiences. Duties Supervise during playtime, meals, and other daily activities to ensure safety and engagement Implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social skills for children of different developmental stages Assist with basic childcare needs such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and hygiene routines as needed Ability to assist those with special needs or disabilities; provide patience and understanding; following individualized care plans Maintain open communication with parents or guardians about children's activities, behavior, and any concerns Ensure a safe environment by conducting regular safety checks and adhering to health protocols. Experience Prior experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Demonstrated caregiving experience such as nannying, babysitting, daycare or camp environments Knowledge of child supervision techniques and child development milestones Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if not already obtained Proven ability to provide nurturing care while maintaining safety standards in dynamic environments Join us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives!
