Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, personalized assistance in various settings such as assisted living facilities, group homes, or clients' private residences. Please call 803-324-0190 for more information Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing for any changes in condition or behavior Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques to prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning patient areas and laundry Document patient progress, update care records, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Ability to work with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory-related conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or emergency situations Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families effectively This role offers a dynamic environment where your caregiving skills directly impact the quality of life for those you serve.
