Job Description

Overview We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to serve as Emergency Sitters for displaced children. In this role, you will be on-call to provide immediate care to children who have been removed from their homes due to emergency situations. You will help ensure the child's safety and emotional well-being during times of crisis. Assignments may vary in location and duration, often requiring flexibility and a calm, empathetic demeanor. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children who need support during difficult transitions. Responsibilities
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with children or in a caregiving roles preferred.
  • Flexibility to work-on call with various hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to travel to varies locations as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a calm demeanor, especially in high-stress situations.
  • Must pass background check and provide a necessary documentation for employment.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks while accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up play areas and children's belongings.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate creativity and encourage social interaction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all agency policies.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive pay at $16.25 per hour. Biweekly payment via direct deposit. Opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of displaced children.
