  • Are you a compassionate individual with a heart for supporting troubled youth? La Maison is looking for dedicated and positive Direct Support Staff to join our mission of making a difference in the lives of boys aged 6-13 who need behavioral and emotional support.
  • About the
Role:
  • As a Direct Support Professional at our Residential Treatment Center, you will play a vital role in providing care, safety, and security for our young residents. You'll work closely with a small group of children, becoming an integral part of our nurturing work family that values collaboration and innovation in improving the lives of the youth we serve.
  • What You'll Do:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Foster a supportive environment by actively supervising and engaging with children at all times.
  • Promote positive behavior and healthy peer interactions through guidance and praise.
  • Use trained de-escalation techniques and effective communication to address behavioral challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living space, assisting children in managing their rooms and personal belongings.
  • Document resident interactions accurately and keep precise shift notes.
  • Help implement group programs and recreational activities that encourage growth and development.
  • Follow all policies and procedures while maintaining a safe environment.
  • What We're Looking For:

  • Someone who is proactive and enthusiastic about daily activities and routines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff.
  • Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Passing a drug test and national background checks required.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Flexible Scheduling:
  • La Maison operates 24 hours/7 days a week, providing opportunities for a flexible schedule that fits your needs. Currently we are seeking weekend staff only with the potential availablity during the week to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Compensation:
  • Starting pay ranges from $15 to $18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
