Job Description
Job description In this role you will work alongside a second staff as support to help with transport, meal preparation, personal hygiene tasks, and medication administration. It is a split shift Monday-Friday from 5:00am-10:00am.
Requirements:
- Valid Texas Driver's License with insurable driving record.
- Texas ID and Social Security Card.
- Able to pass Criminal/Background check, Consumer Employment Recommendation.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent or competency determination.
- Must be able to lift, bend, and stoop No CNA certification required On the job training available
- Staff must be alert during all hours of their shift, including overnight personnel to ensure the safety of our clients.
Duties are as follows:
Ensure consumers are free of abuse, neglect and exploitation. Serve as an example, role model and advocate for the consumer Providing companionship and supportive listening Supervise consumer safety and security. Be active and supportive in community activities, social interaction, and in leisure activities Help in the development of social valued behaviors. Taking vitals, height, and weight Responding to emergency situations Administering medication Direct, teach, document and provide personal assistance with activities of daily living. Meal planning and preparation Secure and provide transportation as needed Assistance with housekeeping, ambulation and mobility.
