Caregiver Job Description We want caregivers who are highly dependable and energetic with a desire to help people in a variety of situations. The ideal caregiver candidate is able to provide hands-on care to an elderly individual with special, non-medical needs in their home and is comfortable working with pets. Someone who is sensitive to the needs of our clients, pro-active, flexible and able to deal with changes in the schedule and a wide range of responsibilities. Caregiver Responsibilities Ensure the client's well-being. Provide assistance with ADL's (such as bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.) Provide assistance with IADL's (such as meal prep, housekeeping, transportation,etc.) Medication reminders. Possible minor pet care. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in client's home. Perform other basic caregiving services. Caregiver Qualifications At least 1 year of paid verifiable caregiving experience (in-home care, facility, hospital, hospice, or similar) — Required . Ability to perform hands-on personal care (ie: bathing, toileting, transfers). Flexible to work weekends and/or holidays if needed Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and ready to make a difference in the lives of others Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to pass background check Prefer caregivers who are comfortable with pets.
