Duties Experience needed in incontinence care Provide direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and utilize proper manual handling techniques for safe patient transfers Support clients with transportation to medical appointments, community activities, or errands to promote independence Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, or senior populations in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, Alzheimer's care strategies, and hospice support practices Ability to perform patient monitoring including vital signs measurement and medication administration accurately Familiarity with care plans development and adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy Competence in using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and understanding resident's (personal needs) requirements Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; compassionate caregiving attitude Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks required for caregiving duties while maintaining safety standards Basic first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively during emergencies Experience working with individuals who have neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities; experience in geriatrics is highly valued Ability to assist with personal transportation needs safely and efficiently; experience in home & community care preferred This role is perfect for motivated caregivers eager to provide exceptional support within a dynamic environment.
