In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for those under your care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medication as prescribed, following HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized care strategies Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury during heavy lifting tasks Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Follow individualized care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals Document patient observations accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being in a home or community setting Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely using proper techniques or assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join our team to deliver compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
