A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.

$15.50-$17.00/hr.

Core Responsibilities Mobility & Transfers:
Provide stand-by ambulation support, safely manage client weight during transfers, and utilize gait belts and sit-to-stand devices as needed.
Daily Living Support:
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation/eating.
Safety & Care Planning:
Follow the custom Plan of Care, monitor for fall risks, and maintain a safe, secure home environment.
Companionship:
Deliver meaningful social engagement, positive interaction, and emotional support.
Minimum 1 year of senior care/caregiving experience (agency, facility, or private). Proficiency with transfer equipment (gait belts, sit-to-stand, Hoyer lifts) is required. Dementia or personal care experience is a plus.
Licensing & Transportation:
Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to assist with client body weight, perform physical transfers, lift at least 25 lbs, and handle extended 12-hour shifts.
Soft Skills & Professionalism:
Strong communication and organizational skills, open to feedback, safety-focused, punctual, and compassionate.
Operational Readiness:
Able to follow a client's Plan of Care and remain easily reachable by phone or email for scheduling and emergencies.
Certifications:
CNA license preferred, but not required.
