Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregivers to join our team! In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a nurturing environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia or long-term care requirements. Duties As an Assisted Living Caregiver, your responsibilities will include: Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administering medications according to prescribed schedules and monitoring residents for any side effects. Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Lifting and transferring residents safely using appropriate techniques and equipment. Implementing behavior management strategies to support residents with challenging behaviors. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' mental well-being. Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in health status to the nursing staff. Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Skills The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Experience in nursing home or long-term care settings is preferred. Medication aid and First aid certification is required! (we can help you get it) Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of related protocols. Strong meal preparation skills with an emphasis on nutritional value for seniors. Ability to lift residents safely and effectively while ensuring their comfort. Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for senior care, particularly for those with dementia. Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and understanding basic health systems related to elderly care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
