Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver working afternoon shifts, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. This role offers an energizing environment focused on providing top-quality care, fostering independence, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether assisting with medication administration, meal preparation, or patient observation, you'll be an essential part of a team committed to enhancing well-being and quality of life. Responsibilities Provide attentive personal care and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient monitoring, and reporting any changes promptly Assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary needs and preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized care techniques and engaging activities Maintain a safe environment through cleaning duties, sanitation practices, and proper use of equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Document care activities accurately in resident records while respecting privacy regulations such as HIPAA Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration Hands-on experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice support is advantageous Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or home health experience are a plus Experience with patient monitoring tools and safety equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is beneficial Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team dedicated to compassionate senior or home & community care Embark on a rewarding career where your caring nature fuels positive change!
