HIPAA Full Job Description Caregiver Duties:

• Provide direct care to individuals in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications following proper protocols and guidelines
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
• Support individuals with autism in their daily routines and activities
• Promote independence and encourage socialization among residents
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
• Respect and uphold resident rights and confidentiality
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Skills:

• Valid nursing certification or license preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience in medication administration and adherence to medication schedules
• Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• Understanding of resident rights and ability to advocate for their needs
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals as required
• Knowledge of social work principles and techniques for effective communication and support
• Familiarity with assisted living facilities and their operations
• Proficient in taking vital signs and recognizing abnormal readings
