Job Description

We are an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community caring for the elderly. We need some dedicated, loving, compassionate and good people to join our Team. We call our folks who help our residents "carefriends". We want you to be "friends" with the residents. They are more likely to have you help them if they are friends with you! Nobody likes a stranger! Our Assisted Living is home to 32 residents and our Memory Care has 18 residents. We help them with whatever they need. We don't do "to" them, we do "with" them. Some may need help putting clothes on, some may need help walking to the bathroom, some may need help in the shower, and some may need help with eating. Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Support clients with memory care and behavior management
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
Experience:
- Experience in senior care, home care, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and nursing home procedures
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
