~~Ready for a change?!~~ Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated (IDD) Group Home Direct Care Staff to join our team on a PRN basis. This vital role involves providing personalized support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving, effective communication, and adherence to best practices in long-term and community-based care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document appropriately. Monitor residents' vital signs and health status, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff promptly. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, promoting positive interactions and stability. Facilitate engaging activities that encourage socialization, cognitive stimulation, and personal development. Maintain a safe environment by practicing safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas and ensuring residents' personal spaces are tidy. Document care provided accurately in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics is essential for supporting residents effectively. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration is preferred. SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression) certification is preferred but not required. Company will provide SAMA training upon hire if needed. Familiarity with resident's rights, behavioral management techniques, and safe patient lifting practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Strong communication skills coupled with a respectful approach to client interaction are necessary for success in this role. Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Primarily home and community-based, with occasional visits to community outings, medical facilities and other Lifetime Living office or Centers. Direct care with individuals with IDD and/or behavioral health crisis management and use of deescalation techniques as needed. Fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring flexibility to occasionally work outside normal scheduled hours. Collaborative environment working closely with team members, case managers. Mostly indoor environment, depending on function needs. Can be fast paced, with frequent interruptions.
