C.N.A/ Caregiver with Medication Administration experience

Looking for individuals with medication administration experience. Medication administration professional is responsible for safely and accurately dispensing, and tracking prescribed medications for patients in an assisted living, or long-term care.

Core Responsibilities Administering Medication:

Dispense routine prescribed medications (oral, topical, etc.) safely and promptly.

Documentation & Records:

Accurately record all administered doses and times on Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR/MAR).

Patient Monitoring:

Observe patients daily, tracking for intended effects or adverse reactions, and immediately report any changes to a supervisor.

Supply Management:

Maintain inventory, reorder prescription refills from pharmacies, and ensure the medication cart/room is clean and secure. Attention to

Detail:

Strict adherence to the "Five Rights" of medication administration: right patient, right drug, right dose, right route, and right time.

Soft Skills:

High levels of compassion, excellent verbal and written communication, and patience, particularly when dealing with elderly or cognitively impaired patients.
