Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver, where your compassionate support and hands-on assistance will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role offers an energizing opportunity to provide personalized care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, retirement communities, and private homes. As a caregiver, you will foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment, promoting independence and well-being for those you serve. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm atmosphere that encourages residents' comfort and happiness. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide companionship and social engagement to enhance mental and emotional well-being Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper timing and documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas Follow care plans diligently, documenting observations related to residents' condition, behavior management strategies, and any incidents or changes in health status Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies Assist with transportation needs by driving residents to appointments or community outings when required Employ proper techniques for working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general to promote independence and dignity Skills Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or retirement homes is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols to ensure safety at all times Familiarity with medication administration processes and vital signs monitoring within long-term care or home care environments Strong skills in assisting with ADLs, personal care home routines, and group home activities Ability to work effectively with people who have dementia or other cognitive impairments using specialized memory care techniques Experience with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities and resident information Excellent communication skills for engaging residents positively while collaborating with team members and family members Valid driver's license for driving residents safely when needed; clean driving record preferred Capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting residents using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and confidently Demonstrated ability in behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs Join us if you're passionate about caregiving!
