Duties include assisting with personal hygiene, preparing meals, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe living environment. Responsibilities also involve helping with medication reminders, supporting mobility, accompanying clients to appointments, and reporting health changes to family or healthcare professionals. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on compassion and patience.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 1:00 PM-5:15 PM, and Saturday, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. Key responsibilities: Personal care: Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Companionship:
 Provide emotional support through conversation and participation in activities to reduce loneliness and improve overall well-being. Health monitoring: Monitor clients' health, note changes in their physical or emotional state, provide medication reminders, and report any relevant information to supervisors or medical professionals. Household duties: Perform light housekeeping tasks like laundry, cleaning, and changing linens to maintain a safe and clean living environment. Meal preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals, taking into account any dietary restrictions. Mobility and transportation: Assist with walking, transfers, and using mobility aids. Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and outing Qualifications and skills: Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is often required. CPR and First Aid certification may be preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build rapport with clients. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is important. A patient, empathetic, and compassionate demeanor is crucial for the role.
