Responsibilities Mow lawns and trim grass using power mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools to achieve a neat and uniform appearance. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, aerators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety awareness. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health; assist with planting and horticultural tasks. Manage pesticide application and irrigation systems responsibly following safety protocols to promote healthy growth and pest control. Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, and retaining walls; perform basic repairs as needed. Follow safety procedures diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems is beneficial. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, tree care, gardening, and snow plowing is advantageous. Ability to identify plants and pests accurately to support plant health management efforts. Knowledge of pesticide management protocols and safety standards required for responsible chemical handling.
