Job Description

Job Summary The Direct Care Professional plays a crucial role in supporting teens while in treatment for chemical dependency. This position involves providing compassionate care, assisting with personal needs, and promoting independence while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in a residential treatment setting. The DSP will work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through various support services. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities. Monitor clients throughout their day and evening. Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, respect, and privacy for all individuals served. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and sensitive information. Provide support in community integration activities, encouraging social interaction and participation in community events. Document client progress and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Foster a supportive environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy among clients. Help cliets to replace inappropriate behaviors with appropriate ones. Skills Strong understanding of client care principles, particularly for teens with behavioral and addiction issues. Proficient in client monitoring techniques. Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding these rights in all interactions. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have varying levels of abilities and needs, demonstrating patience and empathy. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Non physical and physical crisis intervention. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through compassionate support and care.
