Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant/ Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering personalized care in home, community, or assisted living settings. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health status is maintained Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations Support clients with meal preparation, cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences Provide patient observation and monitor behavioral or health changes, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia, or memory care needs is advantageous Familiarity with care plans and documentation requirements such as HIPAA compliance and social work practices Hands-on experience with patient observation, assisted living procedures, hospice care or long-term care settings is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or equipment handling Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and supporting residents' social needs Join our team if you're passionate about providing compassionate caregiving that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
