Job Summary Join our compassionate team in Victoria, TX, as a part-time caregiver dedicated to providing exceptional day-time support to residents in a caring and respectful environment. In this vital role, you will assist individuals with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and comfort. Your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering a warm and engaging community atmosphere. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence Support residents with mobility using safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medication as directed following proper protocols and documentation procedures Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to meet individual dietary needs Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and companionship to enhance their well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and resident rooms Document resident progress, incidents, and care provided accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Drive residents safely to appointments or outings using standard passenger cars while adhering to all traffic laws Skills Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments with a strong understanding of geriatrics and dementia care Skilled in assisting with ADLs, personal care, and mobility support for individuals with cognitive or developmental disabilities Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and safe patient lifting practices Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure quality care delivery Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling required for resident transfers or equipment use Experience working in residential care homes or group homes is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining a safe and clean environment Join us in delivering compassionate care that enriches lives!
