We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and In-Home Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a woman in her 60s with an intellectual disability. This position focuses on promoting independence, encouraging community involvement, building confidence, and providing guidance in daily living while maintaining a respectful, person-centered approach. Primary Responsibilities Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, shopping, and recreational outings. Support participation in community events while encouraging independence and social engagement. Model and teach appropriate social skills, communication, and healthy interpersonal boundaries. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, including meal preparation, household tasks, organization, personal hygiene reminders, and other daily routines. Encourage decision-making, self-advocacy, and the development of independent living skills. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and report any concerns to the supervisor. Follow all agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and person-centered support plans. Qualifications Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Ability to pass required background checks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Work Environment & Expectations This position involves supporting an individual in her home and throughout the community. The ideal candidate will be respectful, professional, and committed to helping the individual achieve greater independence while preserving her dignity and personal choice. Schedule Shifts are typically 4-5 hours in length and may include weekdays, evenings, or occasional weekends based on the individual's schedule and support needs. During each shift, staff will provide community-based support, assist with daily living activities, accompany the individual to appointments, and encourage independence while building meaningful relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

Pay:

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
