We put resident care and staff job satisfaction above all else. Ashford is hiring Med Techs to work afternoon shifts that are from 3pm-11pm. We love working with experienced CNAs. Incoming Med Techs will be trained for 30 days as a CNA, before starting Med Tech training.
CNA Responsibilities include:
  • Assist residents with feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help with laundry and simple cleaning assignments.
  • Assist residents with safely moving and transferring.
  • Answer resident call signals within 6 minutes.
  • Charting resident care.
  • Perform all other nursing duties as assigned.
Med Tech Responsibilities include:
  • Dispensing prescribed oral and topical medications
  • Monitoring Vital Signs:
    May include blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.
  • Resident documentation and charting, which includes logging medications given, reactions, and behavioral observations.
  • Communication and coordinating with CCs and DON.
Requirements:
  • Current CNA certificate preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of hire. (Classes are offered on-site.)
  • Caring, compassionate, and able to identify and meet the needs of others.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Hard-working and team-building attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
