Job Description

Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in need, including but not limited to assisted living, medication administration, and patient care.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Provide care and support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Offer hospice care and emotional support to individuals and their families during end-of-life stages.
- Perform heavy lifting and transferring of individuals as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience in assisted living, patient care, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is beneficial.
- Experience in providing dementia care or hospice care is desirable.
- First aid certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need of care.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing.
Spanish-Speaking Required:
Must be fluent in Spanish (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and healthcare providers.
