Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or community setting. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, including behavior management, medication administration, and personal care support. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication schedules. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or community events. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client's living environment to ensure a safe and comfortable space. Implement behavior management strategies as needed to support clients with specific challenges. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate parties. Requirements Previous experience in home care, senior care, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus; certification is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client appointments are required. Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks related to client care.
