Direct Support Staff (DSP)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES

Manages a 1:1 caseload in a residential and community setting; Prepares progress notes and other daily logs; Provides direct care services to clients, based on the plan of care; Responds to crisis situations; Attends and conduct group meetings with recipients; Must be able to assist client's with ADL's and IADL's; Completes additional training and in-services as required; Participates in annual evaluation of job performance; Works with House Supervisor and Directors to increase effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; Transports clients throughout community as needed; Perform light housekeeping duties which may include cleaning; Ability to live and transfer an individual in a wheelchair; Receive behavior management and medication administration training annually
