Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Residential Caregiver and become a vital part of providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in a supportive home environment. In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a warm, engaging atmosphere where residents feel valued and respected. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, or individuals experiencing memory loss. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health management Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed medication records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support residents with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or assistive devices to ensure safety during transfers Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs to foster socialization and mental stimulation Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and support teams to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in medication administration is advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is desirable Ability to operate EMR systems for documentation purposes accurately and efficiently Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or appointments Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards residents' well-being Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks including lifting, transferring, and assisting residents with mobility Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every resident feels cared for and empowered.
