This position is funded through Virginia Medicaid's CCC Plus Waiver (Consumer Directed). Compensation & Payroll Pay rate: $13.88/hr (set by VA DMAS — non-negotiable) Payroll and taxes handled through CDCN Tax-exempt Direct deposit available Schedule Typically 3 days per week; schedule varies Hours typically 6 am-6 pm on coverage days Start date flexible Begins as respite/backup coverage with potential for regular hours Responsibilities Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Transfers and mobility assistance Meal preparation Medication prompting Light housekeeping Companionship Requirements 18+ years old Must pass VA background check (cost covered) Prior caregiving experience preferred Comfortable with all personal care, including incontinence Dependable, patient, and kind CPR/First Aid certification and own transportation are a plus.
