Job Description
Caregiver (3p-11p) Strasburg, VA 22657 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status. Administer medications as per care plans and assist with meal preparation and cooking. Maintain cleanliness in the client's living space, including light housekeeping tasks. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and promote mental stimulation through conversation or games. Provide support for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia through specialized care techniques. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Skills First aid and CPR certification is preferred. Experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly valued. Strong patient observation skills for monitoring changes in health or behavior. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia-related challenges. Proficiency in patient monitoring and understanding of vital signs. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families. A compassionate approach to caregiving that prioritizes client dignity and respect.
