Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Nightshift Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals in a home care settings. Your energy and attentiveness will ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your caregiving skills directly enhance residents' quality of life while fostering a warm and respectful atmosphere. Duties Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night by observing their condition and responding promptly to their needs Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Perform vital signs checks such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure health stability Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through behavior management techniques and personalized engagement strategies Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges while adhering to proper procedures Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are maintained Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document incidents, resident observations, and care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility policies Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings within community settings, ensuring safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in senior care environments such as retirement homes, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of assisted living practices, Alzheimer's/dementia care, and memory care techniques Experience with long-term care or home & community care settings that involve direct support for individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of resident information and care activities Hands-on experience with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, use of Hoyer lifts, and behavior management strategies Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation duties are advantageous HCA or CNA certification a must.
