Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a commitment to patient care, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences while promoting healthy eating habits. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including medication administration as directed by healthcare providers. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship that encourages open communication. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting clients with mobility challenges or heavy lifting requirements. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and the ability to recognize changes in behavior or health status. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including heavy lifting when necessary. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Experience working in memory care settings or providing direct support for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's is an asset.
