About Coyote House & Tierra Learning Center Coyote House is a vibrant Adult Family Home licensed to serve six (6) adults with developmental disabilities, nestled on the Tierra Learning Center campus near Leavenworth, WA. Since opening in 2013, Coyote House has been a place of belonging — where residents with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other developmental differences live active, meaningful lives supported by a dedicated care team. The home features seven (7) bedrooms, stunning mountain views, and a fully equipped shared living space. Residents participate in creative arts, theater, fitness, cooking, vocational programs, and community engagement — all within the broader Tierra ecosystem that includes an Organic Garden, Pottery Studio, Trails Day Program, Employment Services, and a Retreat Center. Position Summary The Coyote House Manager serves as the Entity Representative for Tierra Learning Center's Adult Family Home and is the primary leader responsible for ensuring the safety, health, dignity, and wellbeing of all residents. This role oversees daily home operations, leads and supports a team of care partners, ensures full regulatory compliance, and coordinates resident care in close partnership with families, medical providers, and the Executive Director. This is a deeply meaningful leadership position for someone who combines professional competence with genuine compassion — a person who can navigate the complexity of regulatory requirements while never losing sight of the people at the center of it all. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Policies Ensure Coyote House operates in full compliance with all applicable state regulations (WAC), federal regulations (HIPAA), and Tierra Learning Center's internal policies and procedures Maintain current knowledge of Adult Family Home regulatory requirements and proactively address any areas of concern Staff Oversight & Leadership Orient, train, support, and collaborate with the care partner team to meet all home and resident care needs Lead effective staff meetings and house meetings that foster communication, growth, and team cohesion Oversee staff scheduling and coordination to ensure consistent, high-quality care coverage Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations; report incidents to the Executive Director and ensure timely completion of all incident reports Provide ongoing training and educational opportunities to support staff development and positive resident outcomes Resident Care Support residents in achieving personal goals, building independent life skills, and participating fully in home and community life Uphold and protect residents' rights, privacy, and confidentiality of records at all times Develop and implement individualized safety plans and Negotiated Care Plans tailored to each resident's unique needs Facilitate safe and punctual transportation to community-based appointments and activities Medical & Health Coordination Maintain accurate, current medical records, prescriptions, and Medication Administration Records (MARS) for all residents Monitor residents' health and coordinate proactively with medical providers and the care team Conduct monthly care and support meetings with residents and their families, maintaining open and transparent communication Home & Office Management Oversee or delegate housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment Coordinate with vendors and internal Tierra stakeholders to address maintenance and facility needs Ensure functioning of office systems, including IT tools, record-keeping, and mail distribution Oversee fire safety inspections and maintain required safety equipment and documentation Qualifications Required Home Care Aide (HCA) Certification Adult Family Home Administrative Training Specialty training for serving residents with developmental disabilities All qualifications required under
WAC 388-76-10130
to serve as an Entity Representative for an Adult Family Home in the State of Washington Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass required background checks Preferred Prior experience as an Entity Representative or House Manager in an Adult Family Home setting Background in direct care and facilitation for adults with developmental differences Experience working within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization Familiarity with person-centered planning and individualized support approaches Compensation & Benefits •Compensation:
$52,000 - $75,000 DOE •Benefits:
Medical insurance stipend; 11 paid holidays annually; Paid Time Off with regular scheduled increase; matching contribution to employer sponsored IRA plan. •Schedule:
