W-2 employee (no under-the-table payment) ⸻ Schedule 4 hours per night 8pm-12amPay:
$18- 26/hour (depending on experience, reliability, and fit)
Open Positions:
1-2 caregivers Set schedule assigned in advance (typically 3-4 nights per week depending on team structure) ⸻ Role Overview This is a low-intensity evening caregiving position with a predictable schedule shared among a small, consistent team. The caregiver's responsibilities primarily involve companionship, evening routine support, and bedtime care. The primary purpose of this role is to: Provide companionship and social interaction Assist with the client's evening routine and bedtime care Ensure consistent, reliable evening support in the home Develop familiarity with the client and household routine so the caregiver can occasionally provide backup coverage for daytime caregivers who call out ⸻ Responsibilities Adult brief changes before sleep Adjust TV as needed Play board games, converse, and provide general companionship Assist with evening care tasks and routines Turn off lights and settle client for bed Occasionally fill in for daytime shifts when coverage is needed; paid within the stated hourly range depending on responsibilities ⸻ Training Paid training provided Training takes place during daytime hours and is paid within the stated hourly range. During the training period, caregivers will learn the daytime care routine so they can serve as backup coverage for daytime caregivers who occasionally call out. 6-week paid trial/training period ⸻ About the Client 83-year-old male, stroke survivor (2 years ago) Right-side paralysis; non-verbal but understands speech Eats and breathes independently Social, friendly, emotionally expressive Previously very active and independent Enjoys sports, conversation, games, and social interaction 5'8", 165 lbs ⸻ Requirements (Read Carefully) High reliability and punctuality — missed or late shifts are not acceptable for this role Ability to follow instructions and work independently Calm, patient, and attentive presence Good communication skills Reliable transportation Professional references Ability to assist a non-verbal client Attention to detail ⸻ Nice to Have Caregiving or healthcare experience Experience with stroke or neurological conditions Experience in a private home setting ⸻ Physical & Professional Expectations Able to assist with basic repositioning and care tasks Able to lift ~40 lbs; no significant joint or mobility limitations May be asked to wear an N-95 mask during periods of high illness transmission Up-to-date COVID and flu vaccinations preferred No strong fragrances or perfumes No phone use while on duty (except emergencies) Wear scrubs Maintain short fingernails Long hair secured (tied back or pinned up) ⸻ Dealbreakers (Please Do Not Apply If Any Apply) Unreliable attendance or difficulty committing to a fixed schedule Frequently late or last-minute cancellations in prior roles Inconsistent communication or difficulty following instructionsPay:
