In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and engaging living experience. Your positive attitude and attentive nature will help foster a warm community where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents' health status Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques to promote safety and comfort Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and assist residents during meal times to encourage independence and social interaction Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control procedures Document resident care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare team members about resident needs Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is preferred Experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is essential Strong understanding of long-term care practices, resident rights, and safety protocols Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required for resident outings or appointments Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with seniors or individuals with disabilities Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and standing for extended periods Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!
