Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Daily Living Skills & Respite Provider (Day/Overnight) to support individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive challenges. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care, assist with daily living activities, and or provide respite for families and caregivers. Your dedication will empower clients to achieve greater independence while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and their families through engaging support and community involvement. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (DLS), including, cooking, cleaning or social interactions with peers Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, promoting positive behaviors and social skills Support clients during community outings, utilizing personal transportation assistance and driving skills to ensure safe travel Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and preferences to inform care plans and support team collaboration Provide overnight or day respite care, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for clients while offering relief to families and caregivers Maintain detailed documentation of services provided, client responses, and any incidents in compliance with agency protocols Pay differential for overnights Requirements Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Prior experience supporting clients with cognitive disabilities is highly desirable Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable personal transportation and
