Job Description
Lutheran Social Services seeks a compassionate Part-Time Caregiver to support adults and families in Eau Claire, WI. In this mission-driven role, you'll assist with daily living activities, personal care, light housekeeping, and meal preparation while providing companionship and emotional support. You'll follow individualized care plans, observe and report changes in client condition, and uphold client dignity, safety, and confidentiality. Responsibilities Provide compassionate in-home and facility-based care to clients, supporting daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support that reflects LSS's mission of dignity, inclusion, and social justice Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to supervisors or clinical staff promptly Follow individualized care plans, documenting services provided in accordance with agency and regulatory standards Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment, following proper safety and infection-control procedures Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members and family caregivers to support person-centered care goals Respect client rights, cultural backgrounds, and confidentiality in all interactions Required Skills Personal care assistance Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) support Infection control and hygiene Basic first aid and emergency response Observation and documentation Safe transfer and mobility assistance Home safety and housekeeping Meal preparation and nutrition basics Confidentiality and HIPAA awareness Communication with clients and families
