Hello, I am looking for someone who has experience caring for others and someone who understands what it takes to be a good in home caregiver- (kindness and compassion for your patient as if they are family). Someone who's in it for more than the money. This is a part time job, start time is 9:00 AM to about 1:30 but hours vary. Right now I only need 1 morning a week, this is bound to increase in the future. My Name is Eli, I'm a 23 year old, I live with my parents, 4 years ago I had a cervical injury to the 4th vertebra leaving me a quadriplegic. So I need full assistance with my morning routine. First I have a suprapubic catheter that gets flushed with sterile water, then I get transferred with a sling And a ceiling style lift Into a bath chair. From there I get rolled over the toilet, I need help taking medication, then you would perform a bowel program. I shower every other day, On a shower day there is a rack system that gets put into the tub and I get slid onto It for a shower which I need full Assistance for. Then I get to roll the back to my room And transferred back to bed, dried off, lotion, then dressed. I then have range of motion done on my lower body. And then I'm transferred into my power chair. Then breakfast is made, I eat. And finally arm stretches and breathing exercises. Obviously there are a lot of details missing from this but that's the broad outline.
