While working here you will have the ability to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. You will assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living and overall independence.Duties and responsibilities:
Enforcing house rules Preparing healthy meals Knowing the whereabouts of all residents at all times Following all shift policies and procedures Logging/recording of shift information Develop and maintain collaborative working relationship with co-workers, community, and other outside agencies Perform fun activities with the youth Must be culturally competent and knowledgeable about the following; Impact of maltreatment on the adolescent's growth and development Nature and stages of development of adolescents (physical, cognitive, social, moral and emotional) Effects of separation Ability to work with a diverse population Ability to support and meet the needs of the adolescent Required Qualifications- Experienced Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) per state requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed
- The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with mentally challenged youth.
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with other employees and develop/maintain good employee relations and employee morale
- Exhibit good time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
