As a Lead Caregiver, you will serve as a compassionate leader, guiding and supporting fellow caregivers while delivering exceptional personal and medical care to residents across various settings. This role offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care. Your expertise will help foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where residents feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Provide direct assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Supervise and mentor caregiving staff to ensure high-quality, consistent care delivery aligned with best practices in senior and disability care Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly, documenting changes accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Administer medications safely following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict compliance with medication management policies Support residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through personalized memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring nutritional needs are met in accordance with dietary guidelines Conduct routine cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic environment within personal care homes or group homes Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings in compliance with safety standards and licensing regulations Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments with long-term care expertise Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively during emergencies Skilled in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care with compassion and professionalism Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and communication of resident health information Excellent communication skills to lead caregiving teams and engage positively with residents and families Valid driver's license for transportation duties; experience driving residents preferred Competence in vital signs measurement, medication administration, Hoyer lift operation, and basic cleaning tasks Behavioral Support & Crisis Management The Lead Caregiver must: Be comfortable working with residents who may display challenging behaviors, mental health concerns, behavioral escalations, resistance to care, verbal aggression, or complex care needs Utilize patience, redirection, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches Remain calm and professional during stressful situations Promote resident dignity, respect, and safety while maintaining boundaries and structure Report behavioral concerns and incidents to management promptly Preferred Certifications CNA Certification preferred CPR/First Aid Certification preferred Medication Administration training preferred Join us as a Lead Caregiver if you're passionate about making a lasting impact through compassionate leadership and expert caregiving.
