Job Description

Job Summary Hope Through Restoration (HTR) is a growing Milwaukee-based organization providing structured residential support, mentoring, supervision, and life-skills development for youth and young adults. With five residential facilities and an expanding mentoring program, HTR is building a strong team of dependable professionals who understand that positive outcomes begin with consistency, engagement, accountability, and relationships. We are currently seeking Part-Time Resident Assistants who are ready to be actively involved in the day-to-day lives of the young people we serve. Responsibilities Engage residents and develop appropriate, positive professional relationships Provide supervision, structure, redirection, and accountability Transport residents to school, work, appointments, programs, and approved activities Prepare meals and assist residents with daily household routines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized residential environment Complete routine room and facility checks Encourage residents to complete chores and personal responsibilities Participate in recreational and community-based activities Communicate important information to HTR leadership and other staff Complete required documentation and shift notes accurately and on time Follow HTR policies, confidentiality requirements, professional boundaries, and safety procedures Who We're Looking For HTR is looking for individuals who are dependable, patient, observant, professional, and willing to take initiative. The ideal candidate understands that residential care involves more than being physically present. Our Resident Assistants are expected to engage, supervise, transport, prepare meals, maintain the home, document activities, and help residents navigate everyday responsibilities. You should be comfortable working with young people who may require additional structure, redirection, encouragement, and consistency. Requirements Valid driver's license Current automobile insurance Reliable transportation Ability and willingness to transport residents Availability for evening, and weekend shifts Ability to successfully complete required background screening Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to prepare basic meals and perform routine household cleaning Ability to work independently while following established policies and procedures Because HTR provides contracted services involving DJC youth, applicable staff must successfully complete required criminal background and license/credential reviews.
